The third album by Soccer Mommy, ”Sometimes, Forever” is the perfect follow-up to the groundbreaking second album from 2020. It expands on Sophie Allison’s contradictory ability to wed dark lyrics and her monochromatic delivery with inspiring and enthralling instrumentation.   

 

A lot of credit goes to Allison’s new producer Daniel Lopatin, an experimental electronica artists who acts as agent provocateur to get Soccer Mommy to push the envelope and try new ways to get her message across.

 

There are moments that sound unlike anything Soccer Mommy has done before while still maintaining the sound that has established her on her first two albums.
