On this week’s Acoustic Highway, as we celebrate Labor Day, we have songs about work, union activists and social justice. We’ll feature tracks from the Smithsonian Folkways “Classic Labor Songs” release with artists Hazel Dickens, Jon Fromer, and Elaine Purkey. Also, we’ll hear from Charlottesville based performer Ben Eppard, local songstress Narissa Bond, and singer songwriter John McCutcheon and his 2015 release “Joe Hill’s Last Will.” Songs about labor, on the Highway, Sunday night at 9:00 on WHRV.
