Grantchester

Grantchester Season 6

I never thought I’d recover from the departure of our dear and complicated Vicar Sidney Chambers. Thankfully the arrival of Reverend Will Davenport portrayed by actor Tom Brittney proved that a well-written series can carry on even when a beloved character departs. Fan-favorite Robson Green returns as DI Geordie Keating and this season is rife with murder, complicated family dilemmas, and a plot that showcases how far we have evolved as a society since the 1950s. Watch Now.

Call the Midwife

I love the show and can relate because ten of the eleven children of my parents were delivered by a Midwife including “me”. Ms. Bertha Allen, the Midwife on my birth certificate, had beds in her house that resemble the beds and some of the furniture on Call the Midwife. As I grew older I became a frequent visitor of Ms. Bertha’s house to help her change and feed the new babies until she passed away.

Lucy Worsley Specials

Having studied at the Bodleian Library at Oxford University and having British ancestry, I've always been a bit of an anglophile. I love and consume any program featuring British historian Lucy Worsley, Royal Palace Secrets, Royal Myths and Secrets, Royal Photo Album, A Very British Romance, and finally 12 Days of Tudor Christmas. She is amazingly witty, well-informed, and makes history entertaining while sharing little know facts with the audience based on her research.
