This week, The Great Discoveries series returns to the Acoustic Highway when U.S. Coast Guard active duty member Noah Courtney stops by the WHRV studio. Hailing from Maryland and currently based in Portsmouth, Noah splits his time between his duties in the military and hitting open mic nights throughout the region. His songs range from a quirky look at a fellow sailor to a ballad longing for home while on deployment. Noah represents the next generation of outstanding performers emerging in the burgeoning Southeastern Virginia singer-songwriting community.
