On this week’s Acoustic Highway, we conclude our month-long feature of incredibly talented African American singer-songwriters. We’ll hear from a wide range of both new and veteran artists including Kaia Kater, Valerie June, Jensen McRae and Lianne La Havas. All are blazing new trails in acoustic music. We’ll also hear from legends like Joan Armatrading, Eric Bibb, and Mavis Staples. Staples won her first Grammy award in 2010 at age 71 after decades of critical acclaim for her work.
