Pickin on WHRV this week features connections between the greats of Bluegrass. We’ll hear from Larry Sparks and Ralph Stanley who worked together in the mid-1960s, Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs, and Bill Monroe who helped fuel the genre as a founding group, JD Crowe and Jimmy Martin who were key figures together in the 1950s, and plenty of others. Collectively, they were masters of the music, yet they also were incredible artists individually. Tune in for the great sounds of artists who founded and powered bluegrass music through the years. Pickin' airs Sunday night at 7 on WHRV.
