Join us this Sunday evening as both Pickin', and Acoustic Highway celebrate Easter. Just perfect as a backdrop to your family gathering, tune in to hear Bluegrass gospel with music from Ralph Stanley, Don Rigsby, Doyle Lawson, Paul Williams, and plenty of others. Bluegrass has deep roots in gospel music with its origins in rural regions where churches were a natural gathering place where music was shared.  Then at 9, the Acoustic Highway features songs of faith with music from Steve Fisher,  The Runaway String Band, Danny Schmidt, Kathy Mattea, and Norma Waterson.  We’ll also have a track from The Hillbilly Thomists. The Thomists are a band of friars of the Order of Preachers. After playing music together for a number of years, they released their debut album in 2017 which reached number 3 on the bluegrass album charts. Last summer, they embarked on an eight-city tour which included a performance at the Grand Ole Opry.

Tune in for an evening where we let the music speak for itself. Sunday night beginning at 7:00 p.m. here on WHRV 89.5 FM.

You can also listen live online.
