Happy New Year! I hope you've all consumed a good amount of black-eyed peas, a southern tradition believed to bring good fortune this time of year. We have several new dramas premiering this month, two of which, Around the World in 80 Days and all seasons of Seaside Hotel are now available in Passport. All seasons of the Seaside Hotel have just been added to Passport! Andersen's Seaside Hotel by the North Sea dunes follows the guests and staff whose fates are intertwined. American Veteran

AMERICAN VETERAN is a four-part documentary series tracing the veteran experience across the arc of American history and exploring the present-day divide between civilian and veteran communities. All Creatures Great & Small returns for a second season of heartwarming and humorous stories based on James Herriot's beloved bestselling novels about a young vet and his surrogate family in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales of the 1930s. With an acclaimed ensemble cast headed by Nicholas Ralph as James Herriot, seven new episodes will be available in Passport on January 9. Watch the Preview.

I particularly enjoy the "History & Culture" on Passport as it covers a wide breadth of the human experience through the American Masters, American Experience, Nova, and documentaries covering the stories of real people facing life and all its hardships and triumphs. To have insight into these lives informs me of the commonalities we all share. And enlightens me about lives and ideas I may not have previously understood.
