The concert was filmed by a total of 15 cameras before an audience of 15,000. An extravaganza for the ages, special guests included Katharine McPhee, Sheléa, Opera Superstar Aida and Tenor Fernando Varela.

Sheléa, an African American singer and songwriter whose mentors include Stevie Wonder, David Foster and Quincy Jones guest starred the event performing, “Feeling Good” solo as well as “I’ve Grown Accustomed to His Face” alongside McPhee. Other performances include “Czardas” and Schindler’s List” by Mága and Foster and “To Love You More” performed by McPhee, Mága and Foster. Moreover, Fernando Varela, of the 2017 PBS special, “Fernando Varela: Coming Home” too performed including his rendition of “Nessum Dorma.”

This year marked Mága’s 10-Budapest New Year’s Concert who in 2012 was given the title of “Honorary Citizen of Budapest” as a thank you for his dedication and support. Magá’s decade of celebrations is almost unprecedented in its magnitude and is not to be missed.
