James Henry Morgan Gang
The James Henry Morgan Gang hails from the 7Cities that make up Coastal Virginia with a little sprinkle of Northeast North Carolina thrown in.
Their sonic territory tickles Blues, R&B, hints of jazz, and other Psychedelic Investigations of the 4th kind that land on a solid rock and roll platform.
Heading up the crew is James (Jay) Morgan on lead guitar and vocals. Jessie Huard and Gillian Young cover the backing vocals and have been known to step out front—when the spirit moves ‘em—to assist with pushing the larger flavor palette wherever it needs to go.
Bassist Paul Jarman handles the robust and bouncing low end. On keys, John (Bubba) Wilkins brings his years of playing on the road with the likes of Bonnie Raitt & other legends to tie those melodies together with a neatness and sass that are unmatched.
With Andy Rexroat on drums and Eric Talley on hand percussion, the rhythm is birthed & the beat laid.
