ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Jacob Vanko is an independent recording artist and poetic storyteller with a gritty blend of Soul, Americana, and rock. Whether solo or with his full band, his powerful vocals and vivid, narrative songwriting pull the listener into his catalog of heartfelt original songs.

Currently based in Virginia and born in Northeast Pennsylvania's Anthracite Coal Region, Vanko's roots run deep in blue-collar America. He grew up with music as a constant presence thanks to his father's passion for songwriting. Sitting in on his old man's rowdy, late-night blues jams became a regular part of his childhood, where he was introduced to the music of legends like Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, and Bob Dylan. Along with the raw energy of 90s rock, these influences helped shape Vanko's artistic path.

His musical lineage spans generations, from a grandfather who played jazz drums to an aunt who was a nationally renowned classical pianist. With such a pedigree, it's no surprise Vanko's music resonates with authenticity.
