Allen Hudson and the Halfmoon: Out of the Box Emerging Artist Series
Allen Hudson and the Halfmoon: Out of the Box Emerging Artist Series
Join us every Thursday at the Sandler Center from January 9 through March 6* for a FREE concert by one of Hampton Roads' best local bands, hosted live by WHRO's Paul Shugrue!
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Allen Hudson and the Halfmoons are an alternative rock band from southeastern Virginia. They’ve spent the last 3 years making the kind of music that played on dorm room stereos in the early 90’s. In that short time, they’ve established themselves as one of Virginia’s best alternative acts; opening for Spin Doctors, Eric Hutchinson, Cracker, and Dada.
Sonically, the band exists somewhere between The Killers and The Black Crowes; blending straight-to-tape rock and roll, new wave, and power pop - all with a hint of southern charm.
