In the mood for a romantic comedy? Tune in for this 1940, George Cukor directed classic starring Katherine Hepburn, Carey Grant, and James Stewart. Feisty socialite Tracy Lord (Hepburn) plans her wedding to a new beau as her old lover C.K. Dexter Haven (Grant) returns to her life. If that doesn't sound complicated enough, add in charming reporter Macaulay "Mike" Connor (Stewart) into the mix. The Philadelphia Story was the fame vehicle that carried Katherine Hepburn to commercial and critical acclaim. The film, based on a broadway play by Philip Barry, was nominated for six Acadeny Awards and won two of them including Best Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay.
