WHRO Public Media took home three first-place awards at this week’s Public Media Awards ceremony.

Awards are nothing new for the producers of Curate, WHRO Public Media's weekly arts series, but after spending months finding innovative ways to continue creating television during a pandemic—we're especially proud of this award-winning season and our team of producers.

Congratulations to several of our producers! Last weekend, they won three awards from the National Association of Black Journalists.

Jae Sinnett, host of Sinnett in Session, and Paul Shugrue, host of Out of the Box, won both won Veer Music Awards recently.

WHRO won three awards last month from the National Educational Telecomunications Association (NETA). The station took home prizes in the categories of Community Engagement, Instructional Media and Promotion.
