Hampton Roads is home to over 217,000 veterans and each year 13,000 military personnel leave their respective branches of service and make the transition to civilian life. 

Brandan "Bmike" Odums is an artist, activist and son of a 26-year Marine veteran. Bmike showed us around his show "Ephemeral Eternal" at Studio BE in New Orleans and spoke with us about what inspires him to serve and transform his community.

Ryan Goss couldn't have dreamed of the type of education he would receive in college. After arriving on campus as a sheltered teen, Ryan found himself through the world of improv humor and connecting to veterans.

While serving his country in Saudi  Arabia, Airman Dwayne Parker lost vision in his right eye. Like thousands of  our servicemen and women wounded in action in Iraq and Afghanistan, Dwayne returned home to a life filled with challenges. For Dwayne, frustration and depression soon followed.
