Katherine Hafner is a news reporter for WHRO Public Media focusing on the environment and sea level rise.

She comes to WHRO from The Virginian-Pilot newspaper, where she spent nearly seven years covering a little bit of everything from local history and the environment to the military and health news. Her reporting there earned multiple state journalism awards from the Virginia Press Association.
