On this week’s show, we feature music of the North Carolina based group “The Grass Cats.” They officially disbanded in 2017 after releasing 9 CDs over a 20 year span. They cultivated a legion of fans across the Southeast with a hard core traditional sound. They’re one of the best bands to emerge during the renaissance of interest in traditional Americana music in the wake of the success of O’ Brother Where Art Thou.
