Ron Fetner is a veteran of the local singer-songwriting community having performed for decades across the region in countless festivals, concerts and shows. He has an extensive catalog of tunes and released Turning for Home in 2001, Defying Gravity in 2005, Sunday Morning Blue in 2005, Watch Your Step in 2012 and The Bluehouse Project in 2017. He is a two-time finalist of the prestigious Chris Austin Songwriting contest at Merlefest, a NewFolk winner at the Kerville Folk Festival, an emerging artist showcase winner at Falcon Ridge, and a winner in the Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest. He has appeared on Paul Shugrue’s Out of the Box, Hunter at Sunrise, and was the first ever in studio guest on the Acoustic Highway. He has been the featured artist on Writer’s Block and has performed with The Tidewater Friends of Acoustic Music Concert series. Ron Fetner is a regional musical treasure in Southeastern Virginia.
