Jim Masters is the next local singer-songwriters making their way onto the Acoustic Highway. In 2013, his debut CD Next Train was met with local acclaim, and it currently is in its third pressing. He currently is at work on a new release due out by the end of the year. Jim has regularly performed on the annual Sunday before Christmas Program on 89.5 and also has appeared at Writer’s Block, the WHRV initiative that features local singer-songwriters with literary artists. He has been a featured performer on Hunter at Sunrise, WTKR’s Morning on the Coast Show, and at numerous festivals and venues through the region. He has opened for performers with Tidewater Friends of Acoustic Music and is considered as a major artist in the local singer-songwriting community.
