Baltimore native Brian Badami has been a musician since the age of 7. He’s a graduate of Ohio State University where he met his wife Darcie. He is an active duty member of the Coast Guard and is currently stationed in Yorktown. Brian formerly was an instructor at the National Search and Rescue School at Coast Guard Training Center for five years and was president of the Coast Guard Enlisted Association Colonial Branch. He has a total of over 20 years of service.

He has formerly appeared on the Acoustic Highway and was the featured musical performer at the Writer’s Block Veteran Edition held at Stupft in Hampton in November 2018. Brian cites musical influences of Miles Davis, the Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, Crosby Stills Nash, Tony Rice and Robert Johnson. An avid listener to 89.5 WHRV, he says “I love the musical community here in the Tidewater and hope to continue to be a part of it for years to come.” Brian makes a return visit to the Acoustic Highway to talk music and perform live and to promote an upcoming concert he is organizing with local musicians Noah Courtney and Troy Breslow.
