Pickin on WHRV returns to the glorious decade of the 1970s this week, with a look at artists who helped shape the genre during the decade.  We’ll hear from the Bluegrass Cardinals, The Country Gentlemen, James Monroe, and plenty of others. It was an interesting decade in the music as many performers had weathered the British invasion and the fading of the great folk music movement of the early 1960s. Hear how the resilience of the artists carried the music into a new decade on Pickin.
