This Sunday, Pickin on WHRV features the music of some native Virginian artists who made a name in Bluegrass music. We’ll hear from legendary artists Carter and Ralph Stanley who hail from Dickenson County. Ralph Stanley helped lead the resurgent interest in bluegrass music after the dramatic success of “O Brother, Where Art Thou?  Also, music from the McPeak Brothers who were from Wytheville, East Virginia, who are from Hampton Roads, and Larry Stephenson, who hails from Fredericksburg. Great artists who helped fuel the wonderful genre.
