The event celebrated the life and work of iconic playwright Lorraine Hansberry, the first African American woman to write a play performed on Broadway. Her most well-known work A Raisin in the Sun has been hailed as a literary masterpiece. Our performers for the event explored some of the themes exposed in her work.
