Harold Smith, our in-house Bluegrass historian and co-producer of Pickin' on WHRV just returned from his annual winter hiatus, where he spent plenty of time planning his next set of shows featuring classic bluegrass. Harold is shown here in the WHRV studio at work on this week’s program featuring the music of Mike Compton and his latest release “Rare and Fine: Uncommon Tunes of Bill Monroe.”  Note the show revisions and tweaks on the script (see picture below) --- hear Harold's hard work for yourself!
