On this week's Pickin' , we’ll hear live performances from some of the greats of bluegrass music.The wonderful duo of Reno and Smiley were captured in a series of concerts at the New River Ranch and Sunset Park in 1957 and 1958.  These rare recordings were later released on an album entitled “ On Stage.” We’ll also hear the Seldom Scene in a series of concerts in 1991 while celebrating their twentieth anniversary as a performing band. The band performed these concerts at the legendary Birchmere Club in Northern Virginia. Also, two concert performances from Flatt and Scruggs- one from 1963 at Vanderbilt University at the very peak of the folk boom and also in 1962 at Carnegie Hall.  And, selections from a 2003 concert at the Grand Ole Opry with music from Ralph Stanley, Rhonda Vincent, and Ricky Skaggs.
