On Sunday’s Pickin' on WHRV, we’ll hear music from Jim and Jesse McReynolds. The native Virginia duo shot to fame in the late 50s and early 60s with classics like the Flame of Love, Diesel on my Tail, and Are You Missing Me. Their grandfather, Charles McReynolds, had led the band "The Bull Mountain Moonshiners", who recorded at the famed 1927 Bristol Sessions. Jim played guitar and sang tenor while Jesse played mandolin. They were invited to join the Grand Ole Opry in 1964, further cementing their place among the greats of Americana music.  Tune in for Jim and Jesse on Pickin.

Sunday night at 7 on WHRV.
