Pickin' on WHRV pays tribute this week to Roland White. The mandolinist had an extraordinary career as a founding member of the Kentucky Colonels, and also performing as a Bluegrass Boy in Bill Monroe’s Band and later, as a member of Country Gazette and the Nashville Bluegrass Band. White was instrumental in the West Coast Bluegrass scene. White passed away in April 2022, leaving behind a legacy as one of the greats who helped fuel a passion for the bluegrass genre.
