John Paul White performed in May at ODU’s Goode Theatre as a part of his The Hurting Kind tour. The release comes after 2016’s Beulah debut solo release and finds White collaborating with Nashville royalty like Lee Ann Womack, Bobby Braddock and Whisperin Bill Anderson. The CD has a lush orchestral feel reminiscent of early 1960s country music and cements White as a deft artist with a reach into multiple musical genres.
