Pickin' on WHRV this week features high lonesome sound of Jimmy Martin. He began his career as a Bluegrass Boy with Bill Monroe and later formed his own band while also performing with some of the greats like the Osborne Brothers, JD Crowe, and Paul Williams.  He became known as the “King of Bluegrass Music” and was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. Martin also performed with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band on the legendary “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” release.  Mr. Good and Country- Jimmy Martin, on this week’s Pickin.
