Pickin' on WHRV this week features music from two icons of the Bluegrass genre- Ricky Skaggs and Keith Whitley.  Both performed with the legendary Ralph Stanley and went on to become country music megastars.  We’ll also hear from the Virginia Based Lonesome River Band, and Ronnie Bowman, who was with the LRB until breaking out for a solo career in 2002. Also, music from one of the first generation bands – The Lonesome Pine Fiddlers.  Notable musicians coming out of the band included Paul Williams, Curly Ray Cline, Bobby Osborne, and Melvin Goins  It’s great Bluegrass for a Sunday night.
