Friday. April 19, 9 p.m - "Rachmaninov's All-Night Vigil"

Valerie Kahler hosts Rachmaninov's All-Night Vigil, performed by the Moscow Region State Chorus and soloists. This spiritual, haunting Vespers program is an a cappella setting of texts taken from the Russian Orthodox All-Night Vigil ceremony, and a unique opportunity to hear this masterpiece performed in Russia by the Moscow State Chorus.

Sunday, April 21, 10 a.m - "O Sacred Banquet: Music for Holy Week & Easter" with Sara Schneider

Join Sara Schneider, host and producer of the nationally-syndicated program, Early Music Now, for O Sacred Banquet: Music for Holy Week and Easter. Mark the season with this one-hour special highlighting music from England, Italy, Spain, and Germany, from the 16th-18th centuries. Included are a celebratory anthem for Palm Sunday by Orlando Gibbons, Hosanna to the Son of David, a heartfelt meditation on the cross by Palestrina, selections from Bach's Easter Oratorio, and Thomas Crecquillon's exuberant Easter motet Congratulamini mihi. The performers include Stile Antico and the Gabrieli Consort and Players.

We hope you will join us for these great programs!
