On this week’s Acoustic Highway, we look at one of the founding artists of the folk-rock genre, Gram Parsons. He was a part of the Flying Burrito Brothers, The Byrds, and also worked with Emmy Lou Harris. His posthumous 1974 album Grievous Angel has been listed by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the greatest albums of all time. We’ll also feature the six artists that are a part of the WHRO Emerging Leaders Board’s “Play Your Heart Out” showcase which will be held May 5 at COVA Brewery. Also, a great set of West Virginia Musicians anchored by the incredible Tim O Brien, who will be playing the North Shore Point Concert Series on June 11. The classic, the emerging, and the Mountain State stars, on the Highway. Join us Sunday night at 9 on 89.5 FM.
