Educationally Speaking returns this week with a look at two people who pursued careers outside the traditional High School to College to Workforce model. Laura Kingsland is Program Director of the Commercial Driving Program at Tampa’s Pinellas Technical College. She discusses the unusual path she took to become a Commercial Trucker at a time when there were few options for women outside traditional female dominated jobs. She also discusses the shortage that exists within Commercial Trucking and the reasons behind it. Hank Twilt began working at an entry level position with a liquor distributor. Now, he is a part of their warehouse management team. Along the way, he expanded his certifications and knowledge of company operations.

Educationally Speaking airs weekday mornings at 11:04 on 89.5 FM and is a part of the national American Graduate: Getting to Work initiative.
