Karin Bergquist and Linford Detwiler have been recording as Over the Rhine for 30 years now and their 15^th album "Love & Revelation" is a somber and earthy collection of songs about grief and loss and how to rise above it.

The title came from a salutation used in letters by their long-time producer Joe Henry who is not involved with this album but his influence and the stellar band he uses are.

Despite the melancholy mood of most of the songs the underlying theme is one of hope, as with most of the music the duo has made.

Bergquist says this of the band’s latest offering “We still believe in love and revelation. We still believe in meaningful work. We keep going and with the darkness surely falling, we still find plenty of reason to dance.”
