This Sunday, Pickin' on WHRV remembers legendary mandolinist Roland White. He passed away April 1 at the age of 83. He founded the Kentucky Colonels with brothers Eric and Clarence. He also worked in the Nashvillle Bluegrass Band, Country Gazette, and did work with Bill Monroe and Lester Flatt. He helped fuel the folk music movement in the early 1960s on the west coast and over the years, received numerous Grammy nominations. The music of Roland White, on Pickin, Sunday night at 7:00.
