Acclaimed violinist and conductor, Sir Neville Marriner, passed away last week at the age of 92. He is perhaps best known for recording the soundtrack to 'Amadeus.' Marriner first began his career as a violinist playing in a string quartet and trio before playing in the London Symphony Orchestra. He founded the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields and was the founder and first music director of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra.

WHRV's Sondra Woodward recalled the great conductor's music this week on ReelSound.
