Gina Gambony won a first-place award for Best Light Feature with her story Reporter's Notebook: A Walk on White Cane Day. A chance encounter that day led her to meet a special group of people.

The judges commented on her piece, "Great work with this story. This was a reporter's notebook that worked so well illuminating a community through an unexpected encounter. Great use of tape, and letting the characters tell the story. Well done!"

Paul Bibeau won a second-place award for Best Investigative Reporting with his story about military vehicles used by local police departments, Five Hampton Roads Police Departments Have Military Vehicles. Here's How They Used Them.

Judges enjoyed listening to his piece and commented "Good use of sound bites to enhance the well-written story. Pace is easy to listen to, and absorb the details."

Congrats to both Gina and Paul!
