Major and the Monbacks have been honing their unique sound for years in frenetic, sweat soaked shows that have left audiences exhilarated and shouting for more.  Now on their self-titled debut album the Norfolk band captures that party-like atmosphere with a horn section fueled set of originals and some real soul music showmanship.

The 7 piece band, made up of two sets of brothers and their close friends plays with an unabashed passion for classic rhythm and blues but with a style that encapsulates so many different genres that it’s hard to compare to anyone else.  It is Monback music.

With a powerful horn section that dominates each song, the energy level never falters and with call and response vocals by three different lead singers its always invigorating.

"Major and the Monbacks" is road tested and fine tuned over years of being played live. When they entered the recordiang studio in Nashville the songs exploded onto a disc that will be the soundtrack for festive gatherings for years to come.
