WHRO-FM is excited to announce our first Broadway Open Mic in partnership with the Little Theatre of Norfolk! The evening will be emceed by Rebecca Weinstein, host of “Show Tune Cafe” and “Mid-day Classics.” Singers and instrumentalists of all ages and experience levels are invited to perform a 5-minute set of show tunes, selections from the Great American Songbook, or other Broadway-inspired music.

Please note: A digital keyboard and three music stands will be available for use. Singers will be required to bring clearly marked sheet music for the accompanist.

*Per the Little Theatre of Norfolk’s COVID policy, everyone in attendance will be required to wear a face mask. Vaccinated performers will be allowed to remove their masks when singing on stage. Thank you in advance for coming to our event and complying with this policy. We can’t wait to see you!

A: We tend to fill up, so if you’d like to make sure you get to sing/play, we recommend signing up in advance!

Q: What if I’m not a musician?

A: Come and listen! Enjoy a relaxed evening of great music and show your support for our wonderful local performers.

Q: Is this a kid-friendly/family-friendly event?

A: Yes! We ask that you give the musicians your attention and try to discourage excessive noise, but children are welcome.

Q: Is there an admission charge?

A: No! This event is free and open to all, made possible by the support of WHRO members.
