Pickin' Co-Producer Harold Smith returns to the WHRV studio for his first show since the shutdown in March 2020. For over 20 years he’s used his extensive CD collection and keen knowledge of the music to entertain our Americana-music-loving Sunday night audience. Harold performed with the legendary regional band East Virginia and shared stages with bluegrass royalty like The Country Gentlemen, Lester Flatt, and the Father of Bluegrass Music, Bill Monroe. This week, he recounts some of the performers he met along the way in a program entitled An Evening with Friends. Tune in for the return of Harold Smith to Pickin'. Sunday night at 7 on WHRV.
