On this week’s Pickin', we celebrate Father’s Day with selections from the CD collection of my dad Herman Graham. He taught me to love bluegrass music and his expansive bluegrass anthology is now a part of the WHRV library. We’ll hear a healthy selection of bluegrass gospel with music from Blue Highway, Alison Krauss, and Larry Sparks. We’ll also hear a set from The “Three Tenors of Bluegrass” Jim Silvers, Mac Wiseman and Bobby Osborne. Pick up the phone, call dad, tell him how much you appreciate him, and tune in for my annual salute to my father, this Sunday evening beginning at 7 p.m. on 89.5 FM.
