The Osborne Brothers are featured on this week’s Pickin' on WHRV.. Sonny and Bobby Osborne broke into the Bluegrass scene in the 1950s by working with Bluegrass greats Bill Monroe, Red Allen and Jimmy Martin. By the mid-60s they had repeated chart success with songs like “Once More” and “ Ruby Are You Mad.” Their 1967 hit “Rocky Top” became the Tennessee official state song in 1982. Sonny has since retired but Bobby continues to perform. His 2017 CD Original was nominated for a Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album. Hear the music of the Osborne Brothers on Pickin' on WHRV, Sunday night at 7:00 on WHRV.
