Over her fifteen year career, Dawn Landes has been known for bridging different styles but on her new album  “Meet Me At the River” she dedicates all her songs to the classic country formula. It doesn’t hurt that she brings country music hall of fame producer, Fred Foster out of retirement to put her music in the right perspective.

Landes’ complex lyrics are offset by the simple country arrangements and her clear, heartfelt vocals.

With an a-list team of country session players backing her, Landes covers a couple of Jimmy Driftwood classics among her originals and she collaborates with Bobby Bare on the closer.

After collaborating with the likes of Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver, Norah Jones and her ex-husand Josh Ritter, Landes finds a new way to deliver her powerful songs by going back to the country.  "Meet Me At the River" is highly focused genre exercise that will have you wondering why you haven’t heard more about her.
