Join us in congratulating our team at WHRV FM 89.5, who has been nominated for Station of the Year for the 2018 “JazzWeek Awards”, and our very own Jae Sinnett, nominated for Presenter of the Year.

Jae Sinnett, host of “Sinnett in Session” and “The R&B Chronicles”, is one of just six presenters across the nation chosen based on exceptional presentation and communication skills.

Sinnett, who has performed jazz for over 30 years as well as hosted and produced jazz radio for 29 years, responded to the nominations saying, “I'm honored and ecstatic to be nominated again by my peers in the industry for the 2018 Jazz Presenter of the Year award! I'm also thrilled that WHRV FM 89.5 has been nominated for Station of the Year that presents jazz programming.”

Sinnett has 14 released recordings as a leader, over 200 compositions, performance and instructional videos and has scored music for five documentaries including PBS’s “John Biggers: Stories of Illumination.”

“Thank you to the many that listen to and support ‘Sinnett in Session’ on WHRV FM,” Sinnett concluded. “It's also fantastic that the station is being recognized across the country for the great programming we produce."

The 2018 Jazz Week Awards will be held on August 9 in San Jose, California.
