On this week’s Pickin' on WHRV, we feature a program dedicated to the Washington D.C. area. The region became a hotbed of bluegrass music as workers migrated from Appalachia to the city in search of work. They brought with them a love of bluegrass and the music flourished. Numerous bands emerged from the area including The Seldom Scene, The Country Gentlemen, and Buzz Busby.
