On this week’s Pickin' on WHRV, we feature a program dedicated to the Washington D.C. area. The region became a hotbed of bluegrass music as workers migrated from Appalachia to the city in search of work. They brought with them a love of bluegrass and the music flourished. Numerous bands emerged from the area including The Seldom Scene, The Country Gentlemen, and Buzz Busby. The music, the reason the music thrived, and the bands that helped fuel the scene, on this week’s Pickin' on WHRV. Sunday night at 7:00 on WHRV.
