On this week’s Pickin', we’ll feature music from the father of Bluegrass Music Bill Monroe from 1950-1958 that included Jimmy Martin as a Bluegrass Boy and prominent member of the band. We’ll also hear from the Nashville Bluegrass Band, who formed in the early 80s as an opening act for comedienne Minnie Pearl’s national tour. Today, almost 40 years later, they are still performing and wowing audiences with their traditional sound. Its Pickin' on WHRV, Sunday night at 7:00. You can also listen online.
