Ron Fetner is well known to Sunday evening listeners at WHRV. Twenty-one years ago he was the first ever in-studio guest on the Acoustic Highway. He was a winner at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival, the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest, Austin Songwriting Group, and at Merlefest. Ron has released six CDs and has had national airplay on NPR’s Car Talk, and Folk Sampler programs. He has performed at Williamsburg’s First Night Celebration and has been a featured artist with Tidewater Friends of Acoustic Music. WHRV Folk Music Producer Barry Graham says that “There could not have been a more perfect first guest to appear on the show. Ron has the soul of a poet and songs that will make you a forever fan.” Ron joins 24 other performing artists Sunday night in celebration and support of WHRV’s 30th anniversary in a series of Facebook Live concerts beginning at 7 p.m.
