This Sunday, Pickin on WHRV looks at the past and the future of Bluegrass music by featuring three different artists. The groundbreaking 1957 Foggy Mountain Jamboree release by Flatt and Scruggs is considered one of the most influential albums ever.. In 2012 it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. The 1975 self-titled JD Crowe and the New South set a course for Bluegrass music by incorporating up-and coming songwriters like Gordon Lightfoot with more traditional songs. Also, we’ll hear the new release by one of the hottest bands emerging in Americana Music with High Fidelity. Their new CD Banjo Player’s Blues is quickly emerging as one of the best release for 2020. Looking to the past and the present, on Pickin, Sunday night at 7 on WHRV. You can also listen online.
