Wednesday, Sept. 2 marks the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. On A Local Touch - Music With a Virginia Connection we observe this anniversary with Stephen Melillo’s monumental ‘Kakehashi - That We Might Live’ with the Central Band of the Japan Air Self Defense Force, the Shenandoah University Choir, and the Old Dominion University Choir conducted by maestro Melillo. The program also includes Donald McCullough’s ‘Holocaust Cantata’ and a suite from ‘Victory at Sea’ with JoAnn Falletta and the Virginia Symphony.
