Too Slim & the Taildraggers are a veteran blues-rock band from the Pacific northwest and the new album “The Remedy” is their twentieth release. With a power trio lineup and some guest appearances from some great harmonica players, they rock with the abandon of their obvious influences, Johnny Winter and ZZ Top.

Tim “Too Slim” Langford’s guitar is front and center throughout the album and he’s backed by an able bodied rhythm section, Zack Kasik on bass and vocals and Jeff “Shakey” Fowlkes on drums and vocals. The guitar tone is solid and dense with Kasik adding banjo to a couple of tunes for variety.

Langford is just a few years removed from a health scare that, after recovering, has reinvigorated him and the long time revolving door of rhythm sections members seems to have found the right fit. this is the follow up to their last album that was nominated for a Blues Foundation award for best blues rock album.

For those who like their blues loud and unadultered, Too Slim and the Taildraggers are a band making music like no one else does today. “The Remedy” is just what the doctor ordered.
